Load Balance for Distributed Home Agents in Mobile IPv6 (Obsolete)
Description: This document specifies the dynamical load balance of mechanism which take account of not only the mobile node registration information but also data the tunneled data traffic information to effectively release and prevent the formation of the traffic bottleneck at the home agent.

Mobile IPv6 Internet-based Remote Interoperability Testing (Obsolete)
Description: This document describes how implementors of Mobile IPv6 can use IPv6-based network facilities to perform remote testing of their implementation with other groups participating in the testing program. The document aims to describe how one may become part of a testing group, what can be tested through this method, and the steps necessary to connect to remote Mobile IPv6 entities.

Inter Home Agents Protocol (HAHA) (Obsolete)
Description: This document describes an inter Home Agents (HAHA) protocol to provide multiple Home Agents support for both Mobile IPv6 and the Nemo Basic Support protocol. The HAHA protocol provides Home Agent redundancy and load-balancing for both protocols. The HAHA protocol allows multiple Home Agents to be placed at different links. It also allows a Mobile Node/Router to utilize multiple Home Agents simultaneously. The protocol consists of 3 mechanisms, Home Agent List management, Binding Synchronization, and Home Agent Switching. A Mobile Node/Router picks one Home Agent as its primary Home Agent and registers with it. The primary Home Agent synchronizes the binding cache information with other Home Agents. Any of Home Agents can intercept a packet meant for the Mobile Node/Router and tunnel the packet directly to its current Care-of address. Alternatively, the Home Agent can tunnel the packet to the primary Home Agent.

Simultaneous Registration of Multiple Care-of Addresses (Obsolete)
Description: This draft proposes a scheme that allows a mobile node to register a primary care-of address(CoA) as well as one or more non-primary CoAs by sending a single binding update message to the home agent and/or correspondent node. This is achieved by using two new mobility options defined in this draft. Mobile nodes that perform duplicate address detection procedure, such as Advance DAD and Optimistic DAD can benefit from this scheme. Proposed scheme does not require to exchange CoTI and CoT messages, usually required for the registration of each of the non-primary CoA(s). It also does not require to maintain binding management key for each of the non-primary CoA(s). Thus the proposed scheme reduces the signaling and processing overhead in Mobile IPv6 networks.

Problem Statement: Home Agent Reliability (Obsolete)
Description: In Mobile-IPv6, Mobile Node is dependent on a single Home Agent for the seamless roaming over the Internet. Mobile-IPv6 also allows deployment of multiple Home Agents on the subnet for providing continuous service to Mobile Node in case of serving Home Agent failure. But switching of service from the failed Home Agent to another functional Home Agent on the Home Subnet is problematic and the base Mobile-IPv6 specifications does not currently have well-described solutions. This document aims to describe and illustrate these problems, and propose some guidelines for possible solutions.

Secure and Dynamic Allocation of Home Address for MIPv6 (Obsolete)
Description: Static configuration of the MN's (Mobile Node) home address is a very cumbersome task and a provisioning nightmare for the Service Providers. With millions of subscribers, a typical Service Provider stands to incur considerable expenses in order to manually configure all of its MN's home address. The ability to dynamically and securely allocate MN's home address, therefore, can immensely aid in providing a cost-effective and efficient device management alternative to the Service Providers. This draft provides a simple method for dynamically allocating MN's home address in a secure manner.

Access Router Information Protocol (ARIP) (Obsolete)
Description: This document defines Access Router Information Protocol (ARIP) whereby a mobile host can improve the handoff performance by exchanging, in advance, the information among geographically adjacent access router(AR)s. This protocol does not need a certain assumption of network topology so that it can be applied to heterogeneous networks as well as homogeneous networks. This document also describes a framework to minimize the handoff latency with the aid of ARIP. Therefore, ARIP can be combined with the protocol such as Fast Handovers (for Mobile IPv6) which tries to minimize the handoff latency.

Network Access Identifier Option for Mobile IPv6 (Obsolete)
Description: This document defines new mobility option to identify mobility entities using a network access identifier. This option can be used in messages containing a mobility header.
