IPv4 is the existing widely deployed internet protocol (IP) for accessing content online and applications in customer residential networks, such as older PCs, game consoles, consumer electronic devices and HDTVs. But as being widely publicised now, unless you have an existing IP address there are no more available for use. IPv6 is the next step of migration.
