In the late 90’s most of us were frightened by the ballyhoo of the “Y2k” problem. However, when the clock struck midnight in 2000, what was predicted to happen did not actually happen. Recently (February 3, 2011), we learned from the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) that the central pool of available addresses of Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) has been depleted. | ||
