We've been hearing about the next generation of the Internet Protocol (IP), IPv6, for years. It now appears that the enterprise will have to deal with this new version very soon. Moving to IPv6 may be required by the service providers, but will not likely be financially beneficial to the enterprise soon. This became apparent when I listened to an IPv6 presentation by Jeff Doyle.
