Google Claims 30% Latency Reduction In Chrome

Google’s False Start, a way to shorten the browser’s handshake between a server and a client PC, quickly went from proposal to implementation. Google now says that the average SSL handshake latency was reduced by False Start from about 400 ms to about 250 ms.
