Live E!, a consortium for grass-root promotion of digital instrument shelters, was founded on May 12 in Japan. Meteorological observation units with the Internet connectivity will be installed in various locations as a voluntary effort so that the collected data on, for example, environment and traffic, can be used in any ways.
