SBE Inc. has used a security processor from Cavium Networks to develop a security processing offload board for communication equipment that handles SSL and IPsec processing tasks.

The securePMC-L PCI mezzanine card (PMC) is developed around Cavium's Nitrox Lite processor. This processor, which is built using Cavium's GigaCipher core, handles RSA, IPsec, SSL, and other security processing tasks while also providing on-chip support for IPv6.
