Cisco Opens New R&D Center in Japan for the Next Generation Internet Technology

Cisco Systems announced on February 17 the opening of Japan Development Center (JDC) in Shinjuku, Tokyo. JDC’s objectives include not only beefing up services in Japan but also R&D related to the next generation Internet technology in general, such as routing technologies, IPv6, multicast, and mobile IP, that can be applied in the international marketplace.
